The Sacramento Mountain Lions released a copy of their 54-man roster Thursday. Nowhere to be seen is former Elk Grove H.S. and Nevada defensive end Ryan Coulson. He was trying to make the UFL team roster as a long snapper.
Scanning the Mountain Lions' list there's a few Cal alums like guard Justin Cheadle, tight end Anthony Miller and tackle Mike Tepper. Former Sacramento State quarterback Jeff Fleming also made the squad.
The Mountain Lions, coached by Turk Schoenert, open the season tonight at Raley Field against Virginia.
Another former Herd player, Marcus Riley, played a few seasons in the UFL for the Las Vegas affiliate but he's now a graduate assistant at SMU.
