The Sac-Joaquin Section released its football playoff brackets Saturday and five EGUSD teams found out who they need to prepare for this Friday.
Elk Grove, champions of the Delta League and 10-0 overall, will host #15 seed Gregori while #6 Cosumnes Oaks, who went 7-3 and placed third in the CVC, will be at home Friday to face #11 seeded Lincoln of Stockton.
Having to go on the road will be 6-4 Franklin, the third place club from the Delta, which earned a nine seed. They'll travel to #8 Turlock. Pleasant Grove, which finished the year at 5-5 and fourth place in the Delta, has earned a 13-seed and will go to #4 Napa, which was 10-0 this year.
Monterey Trail, also a 5-5 club, snuck into the post-season but will take on Oak Ridge, the #3 seed in Division I. One item to note is that there was a post-game brawl Friday in their win over Davis and word is that a few Mustangs may have to serve a game-suspension. More on this as we get more details.
In Division 6, Bradshaw Christian earned a #2 seed and will host Amador Friday.
